To-do: Monday 10/26

  • By Todd Gill · Monday, Oct 26, 2009

We’re closing in on another holiday and this weekend’s to-do post already has us worried about finding enough time to compile all the festivities which are set.

Tonight’s music offerings are pretty slim but if anything can prepare us more for Halloween than a serious metal show featuring Fayetteville’s own Deadbird, we’d love to hear about it.

For seven years now, Deadbird has been pounding out some of the heaviest live music performances Fayetteville has ever seen.

They’re at Smoke & Barrel Tavern this evening with Raise the Red Lantern and Auger.

Also tonight, the Fulbright College department of music will feature guest artist David Zerkel in a tuba concert in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall. Zerkel, the Assistant Professor of Tuba and Euphonium at the University of Georgia, will be accompanied on piano by Anatoly Sheludyakov on works by Bach, Gubaidulina, Barry, and Emler. Admission is free and the concert starts at 7:30 pm.

The full list:
