Local540 News: Thanksgiving/Black Friday Edition

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Wednesday, Nov 25, 2009

It’s Thanksgiving Week, and below is a list of some pretty sweet deals to be thankful for. We’re thankful for these businesses, and for you guys for being awesome.

Shine Salon still has some of Sunshine’s mom’s homemade candles for sale. They’d make a good Christmas present.

Zooloos will be open Thanksgiving night at 6:00 PM and will have 1/2 price drinks and shots all night! On Black Friday, they will have lots of “after shopping” specials that will fit into your budget after you’ve worn yourself and your wallet out! On Saturday they will open at 11:00AM and will be watching as the HOGS beat LSU with HOG Bombs and their very own SEC shots for only $3.00 ALL day/night.

Beginning in January Ernie Boudreaux’s Doggie Dude Ranch will pick up dogs in Fayetteville for Play Day! They’ll come get them at 8am and you pick them up by 6 pm. Don’t miss this great field trip for your dogs. Rain or shine $25/day, 2nd dog is $20/day. Monthly discounts available.

The Walton Arts Center is having a one day only Black Friday Buy-One-Get-One Free Sale on Friday, Nov 27th on tickets to the performance of the Rat Pack is Back on Dec 13th. Plus there are other cool Holiday events coming up. Set your reminders.

Have you checked out the Smoke and Barrel daily drink specials yet? Also, they’ve got Scott Leeper tonight, and a Black Friday Bash with Calamity Cubes (KS), Pretty Pink Boa, Cletus Got Shot forfive bucks. Saturday is Radurday with Robe Flax. Why didn’t I think of Radurday?

Kirsty’s Place has an awesome Black Friday special: 9 hours of childcare for only $30 on Black Friday, beginning at 6:00 am. Only catch is, you’ve got to get in touch with them by Wednesday, Nov 25 to schedule it.

Wednesday Nov 25, Greenhouse Grille is having a huge Pre-Thanksgiving dinner. The menu is listed on Local540, and it sounds unbelievably delicious. Here’s how it starts: Organic Pumpkin Bisque & Toasted Pumpkin Seeds and Orange Zest CreamSwirl….Just look at it. Trust me.

The Railhead Saloon has an awesome special going right now as well. Get any style burger with a side for only $5.99, all day every day during the month of November. Have you tried their Blue Cheese Burger? Seriously.

The Clarion will have a huge Thanksgiving Buffet on Thursday, serving all the traditional Thanksgiving Favorites you’ll be looking for.

Mae’s Emporium will have an open house on Dec 3rd from 5pm-8pm with drinks, goodies, and a special giveaway.

Hugo’s is delicious.

Lucky Luke’s is doing Kids Eat Free on Tuesday Nights now.

Did you check out Buster Belly’s new Winter Recession Specials last week? You should.

Have you flipped for your burger at Razor’s Reef grill and Cantina yet? It happens every Tuesday night, which means that chances are at least twice a month you’ll get a free burger if you go every week. I like those odds.

Grub’s drink specials during dinner are pretty incredible. $1 small domestic drafts, $2.50 large ones, and $2 house wines Monday -Saturday from 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm.

Mickey Fin’s has Happy Hour 5pm to 7pm Tuesday thru Saturday, and $10 gets you all you can drink Domestic Draft and Wells.

Happy turkey party.
