There’s a show at George’s tonight that sounds fun. Austin’s The Rocketboys play earnest, anthemic rock that will fit in nicely with not only this weather but also next to locals Christmas Fuller Project. Also on the bill are Monster Heart and, according to the George’s website, Randall Shreve.
If for some reason you find yourself in Little Rock before sundown, consider heading over to Cajun’s for the 2009 Southern Music Issue Launch Party. In case you missed the Shortcut last month, the annual music issue will begin focusing on the music of one Southern state each year and they’re starting in Arkansas. Sneak preview copies of the new issue and the accompanying CDs will be available at the party.
