To-do: Thursday 12/17

  • By Todd Gill · Thursday, Dec 17, 2009

If you’ve been keeping up with our Flyer Profile series, particularly the musicians we interview, tonight’s your chance to see four of the bands we got in touch with in 2009. Think of it as an unofficial Flyer Profile showcase. And by “unofficial,” I mean that we had absolutely nothing to do with booking or promoting this show. We just noticed that it was scheduled and thought, “how can we get rich off this?”

Unfortunately, our only idea, which was to create a tie-in campaign that featured all the band members dressed in super cool outfits from various local clothing stores, was swiped out from under us a couple of weeks ago. Let this be a lesson, folks. Every great idea has already been done. In other words, we’ve got nothin’.

In January, we talked to The Counterlife. In April, it was Color Club. September saw Egyptr and a month later, Perpetual Werewolf answered some questions.

See them all tonight at George’s Majestic Lounge. It’s an 18+ show and it’ll only cost you five bucks. Who’s in?

Not your cupatea? No big deal. Smoke & Barrel Tavern has you covered with the Matt Smith Trio. Or choose Big Bad Gina at Scarpino’s.

Or if you need a little Christmas, consider TheatreSquared’s ‘Twas The Night.

The list:

Arsaga’s on Crossover: Robert Thomas 9 pm
George’s: The Counterlife, Egyptr, Perpetual Werewolf, Color Club
JJ’s Grill n Chill: Richard & RJ
Smoke & Barrel Tavern: Matt Smith
Teatro Scarpino: Big Bad Gina
Nadine Baum Studios: TheatreSquared’s ‘Twas The Night 7:30 pm
