Video: Arkansas-produced short video gets famous

By now, a lot of you have seen the video that is sweeping the internets lately, Dwight David Honeycutt for Conway School Board.

The five-minute video was filmed in North Little Rock and stars Conway resident Dave Parker as Dwight David Honeycutt, former star of a children’s television show and would-be political candidate.

It has made its way to Funny or Die, and been viewed about 44,000 times on YouTube so far.

Someone named “Roland Honeycutt, Jr.” is credited as the writer and director of the short film, but Lindsey Millar over at the Arkansas Times Rock Candy Blog reported after it was posted back in November that he had it “on good authority” that War Eagle, Arkansas writer Graham Gordy and Oscar winner Ray McKinnon (The Accountant, Randy and the Mob, Chrystal) are the guys behind it.

The video is not for the easily offended and isn’t safe for work if you don’t have some headphones available. But for those of you who aren’t familiar, you should probably get familiar with Mr. Honeycutt.
