To-do: Tuesday 1/5

The temperatures might be dropping drastically in Fayetteville but the live music offerings are heating up fast. Starting today, there are things to do all week long to keep you warm.

Tonight, some of the area’s best bands are under one (heated) roof at George’s. Memphis Pencils are back in town and so are Where’s Lawrence? from Bentonville. Also scheduled are St. Anthony and Harder to Fall (Illinois).

Over at Walton Arts Center, Little House on the Prairie begins a six-day run. Melissa Gilbert, who played “Laura” for 10 years in the television series, continues her legacy by starring as “Ma.”

The Mount Sequoyah “Music on the Mountain” series begins its 2010 season with Still on the Hill‘s Kelly Mulhollan. The series features a different songwriter the first Tuesday of each month inside Parker Hall on Mount Sequoyah at 7pm. Oh yeah, admission is free.

In non A&E news, there’s a city council meeting tonight and the Razorbacks take on Texas at Bud Walton Arena (and ESPN2). Both start at 6pm.
