The last time we ran a giveaway for Lucero tickets, we wrote the following as a promo for a show they were scheduled to play at The AMP:
“…Lucero have made their way through the larger venues in town, and have finally graduated to Fayetteville’s biggest stage.”
I’m not exactly sure if it’s a slightly larger feat that they’re now scheduled to play back-to-back nights at George’s on the main stage or if it’s a lateral move, but it seems like the former to me. Either way, when you’re playing two nights in a row at any venue, it’s a notable achievement in my book.*
Lucero will be here Friday, Jan. 22 and Saturday, Jan. 23. They’ll be joined by singer/songwriter Cory Branan both nights and to make things even more exciting, George’s has brought in Big Smith for the second night (Jan. 23). In other words, night number two should be huge. Which leads me to the giveaway.
We’ve got four (4) pairs of tickets for the second night and a short time frame in which to give them away. Fortunately, entering giveaways here on the Flyer is simple. Good luck.
How to enter: Lucero, Cory Branan and Big Smith are all established enough to headline their own shows in Fayetteville. Such a fact makes us wonder who will have more fans. Because, you know, it’s definitely a contest to have the most fans. That’s what musicians are all about, right? No? Oh. Sorry. Just leave a comment telling us who you’re most excited about. Feel free to elaborate, but as usual, you don’t gotta.
What you’ll win: If you’re one of four (4) randomly chosen winners, you’ll get a pair of tickets to the Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 show featuring Lucero, Cory Branan and Big Smith at George’s Majestic Lounge.
A few rules (read ‘em carefully):
1. You may only enter this specific contest once. If you enter this contest more than once you’ll be disqualified.
2. This contest is open to anyone anywhere except Fayetteville Flyer writers, George’s Majestic Lounge employees and their immediate family members.
3. Contest is open until 10:00pm CST Monday night, Jan. 18, 2010.
4. Make sure you leave a valid email address when filling out the comment form since that’s how we’ll contact you if you’ve won.
5. You’ll have to provide us with your first and last name, and mailing address if you win. Then, we’ll give your name to the George’s staff, and your tickets will be held at the door under your name. Be prepared to show an ID.
