Monday To-do: March 15

The music portion of SXSW is about to kick in this week and as usual, Fayetteville will be seeing a few scattered bands that are either on their way to Austin or headed back home.

Tonight, an unexpected stop by three bands at Ameroplace (house venue) marks the first of the SXSW traffic. San Francisco psyche-pop band Young Prisms leads the way with label mates Weekend and Woodsman also scheduled.

Also SXSW-bound are Chicago rockers Apteka, who are at Rogue on Dickson Street tonight.

If you get the chance, head out and show some of these bands that stopping off in Arkansas is a better idea than taking the night off to watch Jay Leno in some hotel room outside Dallas.

There’s other stuff happening tonight but I gotta get to the hospital. It’s not for me and it’s not an emergency. Just a check-up.
