The Fayetteville Public Library notes that it has scheduled the author who goes by the name Sapphire to speak at 7 p.m. April 20 in the library’s Media & Magazine section.
Her novel, “Push,” was published in 1995 and was the story on which the recent movie “Precious” was based. Copies of “Push” and other works by Sapphire will be available for purchase during her talk, and she will sign autographs afterwards.

Sapphire’s visit will conclude the library’s 4th annual Adult Reading Festival.
The event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required.
