Fayetteville Forward 2.0 took place Saturday, April 17 inside East Square Plaza on the Fayetteville square from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event, led by community development specialist Bliss Browne, was a continuation of last year’s economic development summit which was also facilitated by Browne.

About 90 people participated in some way throughout the day. Some came to mingle, some stayed for the opening ceremony, and others took part in the entire day’s worth of events and exercises.

Some results of the Fayetteville Forward events include the formation of the Fayetteville Forward Economic Accountability Council, the formation of 11 volunteer groups, and the identification of 38 city-led action items, each with a specific focus intended to improve economic development efforts and address quality of life issues in Fayetteville.
