Three new restaurants for uptown?

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Wednesday, Apr 21, 2010

A couple weeks ago, Arkansas Business reported that two new sports bars could be coming to the uptown area of Fayetteville.

Tilted Kilt, a Scottish sports bar (think Hooters, with kilts) is reportedly going into the building that used to be TGI Fridays. A spokesperson for Tilted Kilt confirmed that a Fayetteville location is “in the pipeline,” but could not confirm location or opening dates. The chain started in Las Vegas in 2003, and currently operates in 13 states around the US.

Benchwarmers, another sports bar (think Hooters, with sexy referee outfits) is reportedly opening in the old Meaux Dad’s / O’Charley’s building. There are currently nine of them around the country, with six locations in Colorado. They’ve since added the Fayetteville location to their website.

Combine that with the rumors that Northern Exposure is said to be opening in the old Smokey Bones building, and that’s potentially three new restaurants coming to the uptown area around the mall soon.

Anyone know anything more about these places?
