Most people think Earth Day is the Earth’s birthday. It sounds nice, but it’s not true. In fact, Earth Day has only been around for 40 years. The Earth, of course, has been around much longer than that – since about 1950-ish.
So now that you’re back to having absolutely no idea what Earth Day actually is, let’s party.
Party #1 is at the AMP. Yup, it’s AMP time again and getting the season started is none other than Levon Helm. Helm was at the Walton Arts Center last June, but the Cate Brothers didn’t open that show. They’re opening tonight. Get your tickets here.
Party #2 is at Smoke & Barrel Tavern with Shannon Wurst. If you missed her the last time she was there, here’s your chance to not make that mistake again. There was boot stompin’. Enough said.
Party #3 is at Rogue. I heard somewhere recently that Rogue was way into recycling. Like super into it. And since it’s Earth Day and all, well, you know. I have no proof of this, though, and I’m not calling over there to verify it. I don’t think they’ll answer the phone this early in the morning anyway. Bent Grass Green is on the patio and inside, is another night of DJ Wars.
I could go on listing all the parties or I could get back to work and leave you with the list. Rank them yourself or add any we left out.
And don’t forget to check the ECO-Passport this week for even more.
