Wakarusa 2010 stage schedule announced

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Thursday, Apr 22, 2010

With the most recent artist announcements back in February, we already had a good idea of who would be playing at Wakarusa 2010.

Today, we got a much better idea of when and where most of 100+ bands will be playing at this year’s festival, with the release of the stage schedule over on Jambase.com.

Local Tiffany Christopher will kick off the Wakarusa party, which begins at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, and runs for pretty much the next 86 hours straight. Music is scheduled around the clock this year, with the Satellite stage rolling with electronic and dance music until 8:00 a.m., and music kicking off again on the Outpost stage every morning at 9:00 am.

Headliners this year include Disco Biscuits on Thursday night, followed by STS9 on Friday night, and Widespread Panic on Saturday night. Also of note, the Black Keys will play a 5:30-7:00 p.m. slot on the main stage following Blues Traveler Saturday Night, followed by Dweezil Zappa Plays Zappa.

There are a few TBA’s still on the schedule, but for the most part, you can get a pretty good idea of what to expect at this year’s festival as of today. Check it.
