Four-star recruit Hunter Mickelson commits to Arkansas

Arkansas’ basketball program picked up a huge commitment today when Jonesboro forward Hunter Mickelson pledged to sign with the Hogs in 2011.

The 6′ 10″ 190 pound forward averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds a game as a junior at Jonesboro Westside High School. He is ranked by many as one of the top 50 prospects in the 2011 class.

Of the talented trio of in-state players Arkansas has been targeting for 2011, Mickelson is the second to choose the Razorbacks. Little Rock forward Austin Ross committed to the Hogs back in November, and the Hogs are still targeting the third of the “big 3,” Lepanto guard Ky Madden.

Mickelson chose Arkansas over Kentucky, Wake Forest, Mississippi, Baylor, and others.
