18th Annual Dogwood Walk scheduled for Saturday

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Wednesday, May 19, 2010

If you’ve never been to the Humane Society of the Ozarks’ annual Dogwood Walk, there’s probably a good reason.

Maybe you are allergic? You were at work? You Forgot? You were at the Catwood Walk across town?

Trick question. There’s no such thing as a Catwood Walk.

On Saturday, the Humane Society of the Ozarks will hold their 18th annual Dogwood Walk, this time in a new location on Old Main Lawn.

Booths and demonstrations will be set up, and at 1:00 p.m. this year’s Grand Marshall Neile Jones will lead a dog-parade around the grounds. There are also contests for Best Dressed Dog, Most Unique Dog, Best Owner-Dog Lookalike, and tons more.

There’s even a cutest cat contest, but don’t bring your cat. Bring a picture of your cat.

Registration is $25 and includes a t-shirt. “Goody Bags” will be available for $15. All proceeds from the event go to benefit the Humane Society of the Ozarks, an organization that does great things for dogs all over Northwest Arkansas. Registration begins at noon. Dog party?

18th Annual Dogwood Walk

When: May 22, 2010, 12:00 p.m.
Where: Old Main Lawn
Registration: $25 (includes t-shirt)
