Multiple media outlets are reporting that the John Paul Hammerschmidt Federal Building in Fayetteville was evacuated this afternoon due to a report of a suspicious package on the premises.
KNWA is reporting that the suspicious package was an envelope containing white powder, sent to a person in the building.

Emergency vehicles are on the scene, including a hazardous materials team, though according to NWAOnline, the HAZMAT team activation has been cancelled, and authorities have determined the suspicious package was not a threat.
