Pagnozzi, Pelphrey to play in charity softball game

Former Arkansas Razorback and St. Louis Cardinals catcher Tom Pagnozzi will be back on the diamond tonight. The softball diamond.

Pagnozzi, along with Razorback basketball coach John Pelphey will host a charity softball game tonight between their charitable organizations, Pagnoizzi Charities, and Pel’s Pals tonight at Bogle Park beginning at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $2, and all gate sales will be donated to Pel’s Pals and Pagnozzi Charities.

Concessions and sponsorships raised will benefit two local youth baseball teams, the Fayetteville Cardinals and Fayetteville Redbirds to assist their families with season expenses.

Softball teams will include parents and volunteers of both the charities and these youth baseball programs. Pelphrey and Pagnozzi will coach their teams, and according to the folks at the Razorback basketball office, will also be playing in the game.

Razorback basketball players, Miss Teen Arkansas Savvy Shields, and others will be on hand to sign autographs, and hotdogs will flow like wine. Probably.
