The folks at the Seedling Film Association, and the organizers of the new Offshoot Film Festival announced a new outdoor film series yesterday.
It’s called the Summer Sidewalk Series, and it kicks off on Sunday, June 27 outside the Inn at Carnall Hall at sundown with Oklahoma film “The Rock N Roll Dreams of Duncan Christopher“.
The film is the story of the son of a rockstar, and his quest to live up to his late father’s legacy by winning a record deal at a karaoke contest. The comedy just won the Best Okie Feature award at the deadCenter Film Festival in Oklahoma City. Writer/Director, Jack Roberts, will be in attendance along with one of the stars of the film, karaoke singer “Simply Irresistible.”
The Summer Sidewalk Series continues through August 12 with five films scheduled for outdoor viewing in five Northwest Arkansas cities.
Lawn chairs are encouraged, and refreshments will be available.
