With so many fireworks stands in town, finding a place to buy some Jumping Jacks, Morning Glories, or Ground Bloom Flowers (with report) shouldn’t be too difficult this Fourth of July season.
There are 22 stands in town, which is six more than city staff hoped for, and exactly 22 more than last year. The city council passed an ordinance last month legalizing the sale of fireworks inside the city limits.
At $500 per permit fee, the city can add $11,000 to the $18,000 it expects to generate in sales tax revenue.
Below is a map (as if you really need one) of the 22 fireworks stands we found inside the Fayetteville city limits. We didn’t stop at all of the stands, so we could be wrong about some of the names. Leave a comment if you’ve got a correction to make.
