Ella’s Chef William Lyle appointed to A&P Commission

Executive Chef William Lyle, of Ella’s Restaurant, is the newest member of the Advertising and Promotion Commission. He was officially appointed during yesterday’s July A&P meeting inside the Fayetteville Town Center.

Lyle fills a vacancy on the commission left by former chairman Tim Freeman who stepped down in April after accepting a position with a company in Little Rock.

A&P Director Marilyn Heifner said that Lyle was one of two applicants, but that the other individual didn’t meet the qualifications for the open position. The rules state that the member must be an owner or manager of a hotel, motel, restaurant or other establishment “engaged in the business of selling food for consumption on premises.”

Aside from being the executive chef and manager at Ella’s, Lyle has lived in Fayetteville for nine years and holds a business management degree from the University of Arkansas.

“As a young chef/entrepreneur, I have great interest in becoming more invested in this community and the decision making process of my industry,” wrote Lyle in his application.
