Chefs in the Garden coming up at Botanical Garden of the Ozarks

Want to know how I know that Fall is upon us here in Fayetteville? Because the weather is cooling off.

But I also know it’s Fall because it’s almost impossible to keep up with all the cool events coming up over the next few weeks. For some reason, the Fall and Springtime always seem to be jam packed around here. It rules.

Mark your calendar, or set your alarm clock, or put a post-it note on your forehead about Chefs in Garden, coming up on Sept. 16 at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks.

Why? Because for $35 ($45 the day of the event), you can try foods made by chefs from 12 different restaurants, and even though it’s not a competition, everyone shows up with their best dishes. It’s like Wakarusa for food (sort-of).

This year’s participants include Café Rue Orleans, Chartwells, Ella’s, Fayetteville Country Club, Greenhouse Grille, Kruton’s Catering, Little Bread Company, Mezza Luna, Pinnacle Country Club, Shelby Lynn’s Cake Shoppe, Meiji Japanese Cuisine and Starbuck’s.

There will be live music by Ultra Suede, dancing, cooking demonstrations, the weather is probably going to be awesome, and everyone will leave with a gift bag full of recipes from the local chefs.

Party with some plants (if you want).
