‘Find it in Fayetteville’ campaign to launch Sept. 14

The City of Fayetteville will officially launch the “Find it in Fayetteville” campaign next week.

10,000 decals with the logo for the initiative have been produced, and will be distributed at the official launch event to help promote awareness of the importance of shopping with businesses inside the Fayetteville city limits.

The campaign has been in the works for some time. Mayor Lioneld Jordan said that initiative was reinvigorated at the follow up to the Fayetteville Forward summit back in April.

“We told our employees that the best way you can help with the budget is to buy in town,” Jordan told the Fayetteville A&P Commission back in May after asking for funding to help produce campaign materials. “I really want to focus on getting people to buy right here in Fayetteville.”

The event will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at the Northwest Arkansas Mall near the Food Court. Speakers include Jeff Bishop, General Manager for the Northwest Arkansas Mall, Mayor Lioneld Jordan, A&P director Marilyn Heifner, Chamber president Steve Clark, and other members of the local business community.
