First Thursday beer garden raises $1,400 for local charities

Back in June, a beer garden debuted at First Thursday Fayetteville in hopes of raising some funds for local charities during the monthly celebration on the square.

Last week, the Fayetteville Visitors Bureau announced that the beer garden raised and donated over $1,400 to local charities to date this summer.

Each month, the proceeds from beer sales during First Thursday benefited a different charity, including Animal Shelter, Meals on Wheels, The Yvonne Richardson Community Center, and Pagnozzi Charities, so far.

That means everyone who indulged in a frosty beverage during First Thursday this summer should give themselves a high five. Or clap once (same thing).
