60 Dachshund, Chinese Crested, and Chihuahuas need homes

The Fayetteville Animal Shelter announced Wednesday that they will be receiving about 60 small breed dogs after some local backyard breeders got “in over their heads.”

The problem? The shelter was cramped already due to kennel renovations, and as a result, they are in immediate need of adoption or foster homes for these animals.

The dogs are a mix of Dachshunds, Chinese Cresteds and Chihuahuas of all ages. According to shelter officials, the dogs “seem to be in good shape and socialized,” and are “preciously cute and looking for loving homes.”

Washington County officers have been in contact with other area rescues and shelters in the area, but all indications are that the shelter will receive a lot of these little guys.
