Fayetteville business person featured on White House blog

It’s not every day that a Fayetteville business person ends up on the official blog of the White House. It’s not even every month that something like that happens. In fact, before Nightbird Books owner Lisa Sharp ended up on the site today, I can’t think of any instance of that happening. Can you?

Sharp was contacted to discuss how the Affordable Care Act could benefit her as a small business owner, and the interview is part of the 50 Stories/50 States project created to highlight the new health care legislation. She was featured on the site in a post written by Nikki Sutton this morning.

“I’m just waiting for my thank you call from President Obama now,” Sharp said jokingly.

A video featuring the interview with her is embedded below, and you can check out the full post at whitehouse.gov. Fayetteville represent.
