FAYETTEVILLE, AR, October 25, 2010 – Ranger will be celebrating his birthday on Friday, October 29, 2010, on the Fayetteville Square between 3-5 p.m. Join the celebration! Treats will be served. Happy Birthday, Ranger!
We hope you will bring a gift for Ranger in the form of a donation to Ranger’s Pantry Pet Food Bank. Any size or brand of dog or cat food is accepted, as well as cash donations. Donors will be entered in a drawing for a gift basket.
Ranger’s Pantry supplies pet food to pet owners in Fayetteville who are experiencing temporary financial hardship. This allows pets to remain with their families instead of being surrendered to area shelters. Ranger’s Pantry is the first pet food bank of its kind in Northwest Arkansas. It opened its doors in May of 2010 and has assisted nearly 90 Fayetteville families since that time. Because of the generous community donations to the Pantry, Ranger’s Pantry has distributed over 3000 pounds of dog food and over 650 lbs of cat food since May.
Donations may also be dropped off at any Fayetteville Fire Station or at the Community Services Division at 125 W Mountain. Any size or brand of dog/puppy or cat/kitten food will be accepted. Cash donations are also welcome and are used for the purchase of pet food for the pantry. For more information, please call (479) 575-8260.
