Artist Laboratory Theatre to hold fundraiser for trip to Fringe Festival

Artist Laboratory Theatre introduced themselves to Fayetteville in August with their first-ever production, “Bombs, Babes and Bingo.”

Now, Fayetteville’s newest theatre company hopes to take the show on the road after receiving an invitation to perform at the New Orleans Fringe Festival in November.

On Friday, Nov. 5, Artist Laboratory Theatre will hold a fundraiser at Matt Miller Gallery in Fayetteville to help cover the costs of the trip.

The fundraiser, entitled “The Sheet Fort Experience: We Are In It Together,” will include a staged reading of Charles Mee’s “Time to Burn.” The performance will take place in a giant sheet fort designed and constructed by local artist Mike Davis.

There will also be a cash bar and a silent auction, and all of the proceeds will help Artist Laboratory Theatre with expenses for their trip to the Fringe Festival. If you can’t make it to the show, but you’d like to help out, you can donate at ALT’s Indiegogo page.
