Weekly Sponsor Deals & More: Nov. 8-14

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Tuesday, Nov 9, 2010

This week is going to be awesome, and if you don’t believe me, here’s proof: Tony award winning musical? Check. Live burlesque show? Check. Stand up comedy? Yup.

It’s also your last week to tailgate at Reynolds Razorback stadium, the second to last Saturday Farmers’ Market of the season on the Fayetteville square, and if you haven’t noticed, the fall foliage is in full effect all over Northwest Arkansas.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

Here’s what’s new this week.

Arts & Entertainment

Ella’s is hosting a wine tasting on Dec. 6, featuring Riedel’s Vinum series, and hors d’oeuvres by chef William Lyle. Set a reminder.

George’s has Evans Blue w/ Taddy Porter, Turnpike Troubadours, Casey Donahew, and a comedy show with Angry Patrick this week. Here’s the schedule.

Greenhouse Grille has Fork & Knife, Matt Smith, and Miles Ralston this week. They have delicious food every week.

JJ’s has free music with Lyle Strickland, Jeff Fox, Mo Brothers, Mike & Grady, Wes & Karl, and Ouachita River Band this week. Rawk.

Set your reminder for an artist reception for Jodi Boyd, coming up on Dec. 2 at Ozark Natural Foods.

Smoke & Barrel is hosting an Art Amiss after party, Pretty Things Peep Show (Burlesque!), and a Kilroy, Perpetual Werewolf and A+ Setup show this week.

The Merle Haggard show at Walton Arts Center is sold out, but there are still tickets available to Spring Awakening. For now.

Set a reminder for Effron White’s Songs in the ‘Ville Nov. 18 at the UARK Ballroom, featuring Randall Shreve, Benjamin Del Shreve, and Wade Ogle.

Do you like $1 beers? Kingfish has an awesome selection of $1 cans every day.

Mickey Finn’s will be open early for the Arkansas/UTEP game this Saturday with $3 Bloody Mary’s and Screwdrivers. Also, they’re now booking holiday parties.

Food & Dining

Halloween is over, but Little Bread Company is still in holiday mode. Start thinking about placing special orders for your favorite pies, breads, rolls, and pastries for Thanksgiving week!

Wednesday used to be kind of a lame day in the middle of the week. Thanks to Lucky Luke’s Wing Wednesday, it’s awesome. 40¢ wings, $1 drafts.

Penguin Ed’s is taking orders for Thanksgiving turkeys! If that’s not your thing, you can also place an order for Thanksgiving ham or Thanksgiving salmon.

Do you like crab legs? Get a pound of snow crab legs and a loaded baked potato Sunday nights at Powerhouse for just $13.49.

Need a quick lunch? Sassy’s express lunches are ready in 10 minutes or less for just $5.99.
