BHK Kafé opens inside Nightbird Books

It’s been more than six months in the making, but Brick House Kitchen chef David Lewis’ new restaurant is finally open for business.

BHK Kafé opened Monday morning for coffee and pastries inside Nightbird Books (205 W. Dickson Street), and Lewis plans to expand the menu offerings over the course of the next few months.

The ultimate goal for the restaurant was to focus on “the four C’s – coffee, cheese, chocolate, and cake,” Lewis told us back in May.

If you’ve been to Nightbird Books in the last few months, you’ve probably already noticed that things have been rearranged a bit to make room for the cafe, with a new counter for ordering, and a new seating area complete with cafe-style tables and a sofa.

BHK Kafé will be open daily from 6:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
