Coming Soon: Kathy Mattea, Dec. 9 at Walton Arts Center

Country music and/or Christmas music fans might be happy to know that Grammy Award-winning artist Kathy Mattea will be in Fayetteville next month to perform songs from both of her holiday albums.

Mattea’s Christmas tour, Songs and the Season, will stop at the Walton Arts Center on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m.

Ten years after winning a Grammy for Good News, her first collection of Christmas songs, Mattea returned to the subject with a second holiday album, Joy For Christmas Day.

From the press release:

She’s now crafted a wide-ranging yet coherent program that highlights the “good news” of the holiday and its spiritual message with a thoughtful blend of old favorites and new songs, while ranging even more widely across musical boundaries.

With close to thirty Top 40 country hits (15 Top 10s and four Number 1s), five gold albums and a platinum-selling greatest hits compilation, Mattea is among the most successful women in country music history.

Tickets range from $28 to $54 and can be purchased by calling the Walton Arts Center Box Office at 479-443-5600 or by visiting waltonartscenter.org.
