It’ll soon take a lot less bravery to walk along Mt. Comfort Road between Stephens Avenue and Asbell Park.
On Tuesday, Nov. 16, the city’s Transportation Division will begin construction of a new 6-foot-wide sidewalk, curb, gutter and storm drain between Lewis Avenue and Stephens Avenue.
Phase 1 of the project will require closing that section of Mt. Comfort Road from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays. The street will be reopen at night and on weekends.
Detour routes will be posted to reroute traffic.
According to a press release issued late last week, the estimated construction time for the entire project is six weeks.
