Chase Family Foundation Donates to Ranger’s Pantry

FAYETTEVILLE, AR, November 15, 2010 – The Ranger’s Pantry Pet Food Bank received a donation of $750 from the Chase Family Foundation. This generous gift will allow Ranger’s Pantry to purchase pet food to stock the pantry shelves. The Chase Family Foundation was started in early 2008 by Susan Chase in honor of her parents Rex and Glada Chase. The Foundation’s goals are to improve the care and quality of life for humans and animals who are in trouble, pain, or just down on their luck through acts of kindness, generosity and monetary gifts.

Ranger’s Pantry supplies pet food to pet owners in Fayetteville who are experiencing temporary financial hardship. This allows pets to remain with their families instead of being surrendered to area shelters. Ranger’s Pantry is the first pet food bank of its kind in Northwest Arkansas. It opened its doors in May of 2010 and has helped over 350 pets remain with their families in Fayetteville since that time, distributing over 5000 pounds of dog food and over 1600 lbs of cat food.

For more information about the Chase Family Foundation, check out their website at www.chasefamilyfoundation.com. For more information about Ranger’s Pantry, please call (479) 575-8260. Donations for Ranger’s Pantry may be dropped off at any Fayetteville Fire Station or at the Community Services Division at 125 W Mountain. Any size or brand of dog/puppy or cat/kitten food will be accepted. Cash donations are also welcome and are used for the purchase of pet food for the pantry.
