2011 Arkansas Razorback baseball schedule

The University of Arkansas announced the 2011 Razorback baseball schedule Tuesday afternoon.

The Hogs will play 24 games against 10 teams that advanced to post season play a year ago and 33 games at Baum Stadium during the 2011 season.

The season begins Friday, Feb. 18 in Fayetteville with a three-game series against Delaware State and runs for the next 14 weeks. The Ole Miss Rebels end the Razorbacks’ regular season at home May 19-21, before the SEC tournament begins in Hoover, Alabama in late May.

“I am really looking forward to this season,” said Arkansas head coach Dave Van Horn. “This schedule is challenging in terms of opponents as well as from a scheduling aspect with a young team. We have a couple of weeks where we have five games in five days and eight games in nine days and that will be a tough stretch for our pitching staff. We have tremendous fan support and our 33 home games this year should allow the Razorback Nation to see great baseball throughout the season.”
