Trees coming to Block Avenue on Dec. 6

The Block Avenue enhancement project is finally coming to a close.

All that’s left now is road striping, wall staining and getting some trees into those new sidewalk planters.

Crews will begin adding trees on Monday, Dec. 6.

Urban Forestry Services workers will start planting on the west side of Block Avenue at the intersection of Dickson Street and work their way south toward the downtown square.

Expect temporary closures of on-street parking areas and some possible lane closures as the trees are being installed. Cones and other safety devices will be used to direct traffic around the construction areas.
