TheatreSquared’s Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some) opens Friday

You know how no matter how many times you’ve seen it, if Back to The Future is on TBS, you’re probably gonna watch it again? Maybe that’s just me.

That’s also how it is for a lot of people with Charles Dickens’ classic tale “A Christmas Carol.” Some people just can’t get enough of that story. The poor actors who are asked by audiences to perform the show year after year, however, must get sick of it.

The premise of Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some), TheatreSquared’s latest production set to open this weekend at Nadine Baum Studios, is kind of along those lines.

The story follows three actors who are fed-up with performing Dickens’ beloved yuletide classic, and decide instead to perform, as the title indicates, every Christmas story ever told. From Frosty to the Grinch, to Charlie Brown’s Christmas, the show captures a little bit of everything.

Morgan Hicks will direct the play, written by Michael Carleton, James FitzGerald, and John K. Alvarez.

The show opens on Friday, Dec. 10 and will run through Dec. 26. Tickets are $22-$24 ($10 if you’re under 30) and can be purchased at theatre2.org or by calling the T2 box office at 479-571-2728.
