Maybe it’s the holidays, or maybe it’s the fact that the Flyer is turning 3 years-old today, but I can’t help feeling a little sentimental these last few days.
The businesses on the below list, and you guys’ support of these awesome local places are the reason we’re still able to do what we love here at the Flyer, and we’re unbelievably humbled, and thankful for your support.

Arts & Entertainment
If you like fine whiskeys, get ready for a whiskey tasting at Ella’s on Jan. 17. Tickets are just $25.
George’s has a very special Christmas Eve happy hour show with Steve Pryor Friday night from 6-8 p.m. There’s more.
Greenhouse Grille has Tiffany Christopher Wednesday, and a special after-Christmas brunch with Candy Lee & The Sweets on Sunday. Also, their New Year’s Eve menu is up. Whoa.
JJ’s has Miller & Bufford, Jeff Fox, Mike & Grady, and Tim Meitzen this week. They’re open Christmas eve until 3 p.m., FYI.
Ozark Natural Foods is still hosting a food drive for the NWA Food Bank. Drop your non-perishable items off at the store.
Smoke & Barrel has Scott Leeper, and a Christmas Eve show with Cletus Got Shot this week. Also, get ready for Pope County Bootleggers on New Year’s Eve.
Forget the long lines and unruly shoppers. Give the gift of the arts this year, and get someone you love tickets to one of these incredible shows coming to the Walton Arts Center.
Drink Specials
You guys probably don’t have to work on Friday, right? Buster Belly’s has $2 domestic bottles on Thursday night.
El Sancho will be closed on Christmas day, but they’ll be open with buy-one-get-one for 1¢ margaritas Monday-Wednesday, and $3.99 specialty tequila drinks on Thursday.
Flying Burrito has $2 margaritas, and draft beers all night on Tuesday nights.
Grub’s has $1.25 drafts, and $2 house wines Monday-Saturday from 4-10 p.m. for happy hour.
In case you haven’t heard, Kingfish has lots of canned beers for $1.
Mickey Finn’s is open regular hours Christmas Eve, with all-you-can-drink domestic drafts and wells for $10 until 7 p.m.

What’s on special at Emelia’s Kitchen this week? Oh, how about prime rib, mediterranean chicken, grilled swordfish, and bone-in encrusted pork chops.
Christmas Lunch Buffet Reservations are still available for Christmas Day at the Clarion! Enjoy a deliciously prepared traditional meal without the hassle or stress of preparation! Reservations are recommended.
