Photos: Downtown building damaged in storm

A building on the downtown Fayetteville square is missing 13 facade panels, torn off by high winds in a storm that hit Northwest Arkansas early Friday morning.

More than a dozen building facade panels lay shattered on the sidewalk amongst seven damaged newspaper vending machines on the northwest corner of the Fayetteville square Friday morning.

The damage was caused by the storm which shut down XNA and killed three people 20 miles west of Fayetteville earlier today.

The building is home to the A.G. Edwards and Sons clock and is on the opposite corner of the square from the Bank of Fayetteville.

As of 10:30 a.m. Friday, orange construction fencing had been placed around the damage, but cleanup had not yet begun.
