For the second day in a row, Fayetteville trash collection has been put on hold due to poor road conditions.

City officials released a statement Friday morning announcing that the Solid Waste and Recycling Division has suspended all commercial and residential solid waste, recycling and yardwaste collections.

If conditions improve on side roads and parking lots around town, both residential and commercial routes, along with the city’s Transfer Station and Solid Waste and Recycling office, will be back in operation Monday, Jan. 24.

Thursday residential bins that were not collected will not be picked up until next Thursday, Jan. 27.

For questions about solid waste and recycling services, contact the Solid Waste and Recycling Division at 575-8398 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
