Coming here: Pretty Lights, April 22 at the AMP

Pretty Lights will open the 2011 season at the Arkansas Music Pavilion on April 22

Last time they were in town, Pretty Lights were the instigators of the biggest dance party in the history of the Fayetteville Town Center. Now it appears the Colorado-based duo will be bringing their beats to a larger stage, for an Earth Day show at the Arkansas Music Pavilion on Friday, April 22.

The show appeared on the artist’s website earlier today, and promotor Brian Crowne confirmed this evening that the band will kick off the 2011 season at the AMP.

Pretty Lights is producer Derek Vincent Smith, along with (new) drummer Adam Deitch. The band just released a trilogy of EP’s in 2010, along with a 7-track remix album in January 2011. Smith also released two records last month for artists Paper Diamond and Break Science on his brand new record label, Pretty Lights Music.

The band sold out the Fayetteville Town Center in April of last year, and before that, they sold out George’s Majestic Lounge in August of 2009. They were also in the area for Wakarusa two years ago.

Tickets to the show at the AMP are $27, and go on sale to the public on Feb. 18. A limited number of fan club pre-sale tickets will go on sale on the artist’s website on Friday, Feb. 11 at 10 a.m.
