It looks like Willie Nelson and his Country Throwdown tour will have a little company on the stage at Osage Creek Amphitheater come July 3.
We’re working to confirm the show with the Osage Creek folks, but according to the artist’s website, Cross Canadian Ragweed frontman Cody Canada and his new band The Departed will also be at Osage Creek the same day.
Cross Canadian Ragweed announced they were taking a break from touring in May of this year, and shortly thereafter, Canada and CCR bass player Jeremy Plato formed The Departed with musicians Seth James (Seth James Band, Ray Wylie Hubbard), Steve Littleton, (Live Oak Decline, Stoney LaRue & the Arsenals, Medicine Show) and Dave Bowen (Stoney LaRue, Bleu Edmondson, Dale Watson).
The band just completed their first successful run of shows at the end of January, and after a week-long break to spend with family, they’re back out for the extensive North American tour that apparently includes a stop in Siloam Springs.
