Fayetteville Public Library releases iPhone and iPad apps

The Fayetteville Public library has released brand new iPhone and iPad apps, both of which are available for free through the iTunes store.

Users of the new application can access their library account, browse the library’s catalog, and place items on hold for future pick up.

“We believe it is vitally important to connect with our users in the way that is most accessible, and since many people now receive information through their phones and mobile devices, that’s where we need to be,” said Shawna Thorup, FPL executive director.

According to the press release, an app for the Android operating system is also in the works, and will be released in the coming weeks.

To download the application, search “Fayetteville Public Library” from the iTunes Store.
