Library Unveils FPL App

FAYETTEVILLE – There seems to be an app for everything, and the Fayetteville Public Library is no exception.
The library now has its own app for iPhones and iPads, available for free through the iTunes store by searching ‘Fayetteville Public Library.’
The app allows library users to access their account, browse the library’s catalog, and place items on hold for future pick up.
“The app is the latest way for the Fayetteville Public Library to reach out to the community. We believe it is vitally important to connect with our users in the way that is most accessible, and since many people now receive information through their phones and mobile devices, that’s where we need to be,” said Shawna Thorup, FPL executive director.
An app for the Android operating system will be released in the coming weeks.
