Weekend Mix: Feb. 25-27

Weekend Mixes are provided by The Tale of The Tape, a locally-run web publication featuring daily content devoted to new music and key releases from the past decade. Check it out at thetaleofthetape.com.

If the new EP from The Heavenly States is half as good as “Model Son” suggests, we’re in for a treat in a couple of months. ‘Oui Camera Oui’ is due April 19 on Hippies Are Dead Records, an offshoot of the blog by the same name. The 7-song EP was produced by Bill Lefler (Gym Class Heroes, Dashboard Confessional) in Los Angeles, CA, in the fall of 2009 and mixed by John Agnello (Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, The Hold Steady).

Check out “Model Son” below as well as new tracks from The Cool Kids, The Sandwitches, and Stephen Malkmus.

As always, big thanks to The Tale of The Tape for another great Weekend Mix.
