Wednesday To-do: March 2

Memphis-based singer/songwriter Amy LaVere is set to play at Rogue Pizza Co. on Dickson Street tonight.

Consider heading over to Rogue Pizza Co. tonight after the Razorback men’s basketball team takes down Mississippi State.

Memphis-based singer/songwriter and upright bass player Amy LaVere is in town for a rare appearance in these parts.

Check out her 2007 full-length Anchors and Anvils for a good taste. Or scroll down to the YouTube video below.

Fans of the MTV series $5 Cover (and possibly even the 2005 Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line) will recognize LaVere. She sings, she songs, she thumps, she acts. Don’t miss her tonight.
