Each summer, the Theatre offers the week-long T2 Professional Development Institute, conferring up to 30 hours of Arkansas professional development units in partnership with the University of Arkansas. This program will be offered June 10-13, 2011.
This year’s program will be held at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute at Petit Jean in Morrilton, Arkansas.
Teachers will be treated to a retreat setting, as they earn professional development credits and build strong relationships with peers from across the state.
The cost of the program has been subsidized by TheatreSquared and the Withrop Rockefeller Institute. Teachers will pay an all-inclusive registration fee of $300 covering the workshop, all of their meals and a PRIVATE room for the 4 days/3 nights of the program.
This fun and intensive arts integration program is facilitated by professional artists fromTheatreSquared.
Throughout the fun and interactive four day program, participants will:
participate as students in skill-refreshing masterclasses led by working theatre professionals work in learning communities to design lesson plans explore drama-based instructional strategies reflect on pedagogical readings develop and refine arts-integrated curricula and explore the new common-core standards.
