The Whigs will be back in town in April at George’s Majestic Lounge with Company of Thieves.
If our memory serves correct, it’s been a while since Athens-based band The Whigs were in town.
We doubt they’ve forgotten about Fayetteville, though. The band drove nearly 24 hours straight from a performance on “Late Night With Conan O’Brien” in New York to make it to a show at George’s Majestic Lounge back in 2008.

Since then, they’ve written and released their second full-length album, In the Dark, and toured with the likes of Kings of Leon and fellow Athens rockers Dead Confederate.
The Whigs will be back in town April 26 at George’s with Chicago’s Company of Thieves. Tickets are $10 and are on sale now through
