Work continues on Oak Ridge Trail near the train bridge between Gregg Avenue and University Avenue.

Construction continues on Oak Ridge Trail with the addition of a street crossing at University Avenue and Center Street.

The City of Fayetteville’s Transportation Division yesterday announced a three- to four-day phase of construction that will require road closure to through traffic on University Avenue between Dickson Street and Center Street.

From the announcement:

Provisions will be made for emergency vehicle access and non-through traffic business patrons. Every effort will also be made to minimize inconvenience to those traveling in this area during the construction process and signage will be placed to indicate detour routes as needed.

The Oak Ridge Trail is a half-mile stretch of trail connecting to Frisco Trail at Center Street. The branch heads north past Duncan Avenue to Harmon Avenue where it will continue through the woods behind Clinton Drive to end near Pomfret Hall on the University of Arkansas campus.
