The Fayetteville Public Library is located at 401 W. Mountain Street near the downtown square.

Fayetteville folks already know that our public library is badical. The rest of the world is taking notice, too.

USA Today recently published a list of 10 great places to take a library tour, as compiled by Library Journal contributor Rebecca Miller.

Nestled among the list of libraries from large markets like New York, Boston, Chicago, Denver, and Washington, DC was our own Fayetteville Public Library.

From the report:

This regional library hosts programs featuring local writers. The building, named Library Journal’s Library of the Year in 2005, has a green design and features beautiful valley views. It’s equipped with a fireplace and welcomes visitors to stay and chill. “This is a true place for relaxing,” Miller says. “The design is one of the most innovative in the country.”
