On display at the press event were promotional posters for the 2011 season as well as a backdrop that showed off the new face of the Arkansas Music Pavilion, which was recently purchased by the Walton Arts Center.

“What you’re seeing up here isn’t the entire season, said AMP General Manager Brian Crowne. “We have several shows that are confirmed but we can’t announce them until a little later.”

Crowne said one show he’s excited about that was just confirmed today is a June 10 concert with Christian rockers the David Crowder Band.

Walton Arts Center VP of Communications Jodi Beznoska spoke briefly Wednesday morning about the new season.

“We are very, very excited at Walton Arts Center to be entering into our first season working with Brian as owners and operators of the AMP,” said Beznoska. “We are just thrilled for the variety of the season that’s on tap and for some of the things that are going to be coming in the future.”

Beznoska said the new shows illustrate the arts center’s plans to offer a wide range of performances and entertainment at the AMP. ”

Crowne said he’s also excited.

“I’m proud to be associated and working with the Walton Arts Center in this recent transition,” he said. “It’s been a very fun one so far.”
