Win tickets to see TheatreSquared’s production of reasons to be pretty.

This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to the winners, Gracie and Roger.

TheatreSquared produces some pretty incredible work here in Fayetteville, and we’re down to the last few chances to see some of that work this season.

Neil LaBute’s reasons to be pretty is the last production of T2’s fifth season, and performances will run through May 1 at Nadine Baum Studios.

The play, which debuted in 2009 and won a Tony Award for Best New Play the same year, is considered by some to be LaBute’s best work. Our own Tobias Wray called it “a deft romantic drama that delves into the gender divide, the working class world and the abyss of our language’s inadequacies to express ourselves.”

The production is directed by Shana Gold, who also directed T2’s 2010 production of Underneath the Lintel. The cast includes: Dusty Brown (Greg) and Christin Sawyer Davis (Steph), both of New York; and Northwest Arkansas natives Rebecca Rivas (Carley) and Kris Pruett (Kent), who previously appeared as Mutt in T2’s World Premiere of Sundown Town (2011).

As it happens, we have two pairs of front-row tickets to give away to the performance of your choice to T2’s reasons to be pretty. Try to win them.

How to enter

reasons to be pretty is billed as a ‘brutal, exhilarating comic drama.’ It’s also pretty freakin’ intense.

Have you ever seen a play, a film, read a book, or interacted with some other piece of art that left you feeling changed somehow? That either just blew your mind in general, or otherwise hit home in such a way that you just couldn’t shake it for a long time after it was over?

Leave a comment telling us what play, film, book, or other artwork blew your mind in that way, and you’re entered. If you can’t think of one, just say Sundown Town, and you’re entered.
